Karelia, also known as Karjala and Karelen: Landscape in the eastern Land of A Thousand Acid Lakes whose Russian population of vault dwellers and Bolshevik colonists was purged by the veteran clone soldiers of Svarta Svärden in a feat of unrivalled forest warfare.

In 2148, Folkkommissarie Igor Levchenko of the Red Peoples Front spat on these Finns for their heinous slaughter of the people.

In 2149, the same Commissar rallied local Front fighters in Outpost Valkyrie and recruited willing mercenaries for a showdown with Svarta Svärden, only to lead the brave warriors into an ambush out in the sandy sinterwastes. As of now, devastated yet beautiful Karelia seems to be in firm control by the Finnish clone soldiers.
